Who would not benefit from having a coach?

In today's world there is hardly anyone who would not benefit from having an experienced coach as a part of their success.  A coach does not manage you like a sales manager. A coach accepts your ever growing success as the reason they are involved.  And the beautiful thing about any coaching relationship is your ability to assess and control where it goes!

As an athlete and a athletic coach ( many years ago ), I fully understand the value that a coach brings
to a competitive situation.  Each coach has a level of experience and a style of sharing it with you
which may benefit you or not.  Many athletes ( I'm sure you have heard them) credit their development and success to coaches throughout their careers.  Now many people in all endeavors have learned the value of having a coach who cares about their development and success.  And most definitely that awareness has invaded the business world.  Could a career coach aid your development and success ?  You should explore the idea!

You may or may not be aware of the fast growing numbers of professional coaches in all areas.  The
ICF ( International Coaching Federation ) has almost unbelievable numbers in their membership.
There are coaches in every facet of life that you can imagine.  Every aspect of personal life has coaches.  Every part of business life from sales to corporate leadership has coaches.  Over the last two decades people have recognized the value of "mentoring" and that has evolved to personal coaching.  There are all kinds of accreditation and resources for being a more valuable coach.  To gain some perspective on this avenue just put "coach" into a search engine and you will be amazed to see the numbers of people available for coaching and the areas they cover.

Several years ago I attended an ICF convention in San Jose, CA.  There were over 4000 coaches there from the US and 23 countries.  One of the most unique people I met was a very nice lady who had become very successful as a grief coach.  Yes, she coached people through one of the most difficult times of their lives - the loss of a loved one.  She had several websites and in addition to counseling over the phone, she had developed several ebooks that she sold on her websites.  I was amazed to say the least.

The better question is:

Is having a coach something you want to evaluate?
If you have never experienced it; then it's hard to believe it could benefit you.  My suggestion would be for you and I to talk ( no charge ) on the phone and discuss the possibility.  Give me a call. If you get my voice mail; leave me a message and suggest a time for us to get together.
